The Routes

Pit StopsClick here to see the Pit Stops along the three different routes.

62 mile route (100 km): Designed for experienced bicycling enthusiasts, the 62 mile route shows off the beautiful Niagara County countryside from Newfane all the way to Youngstown and back. Stunning views of Lake Ontario, trips through several quiet villages and towns, and beautiful springtime farm fields and pastures in abundance, this route has it all. With five Niagara County Wine Trail winery sponsored refreshment stops, the 62 mile ride offers many opportunities to stop and enjoy the scenery. Relatively flat for a more experienced rider, this route features a couple moderate hills and difficult hills, as well as a small number of turns and stops, allowing riders to ‘dial in’ and put some nice miles under their belts.

30 mile route: Stretching from Newfane to Lockport, Ransomville, Wilson and back, the 30 mile route covers much of the same beautiful terrain as the 62 mile Hospice Gran Fondo route but is less than half the distance. This route also shows off the beautiful Niagara County countryside, views of Lake Ontario, and the quiet Village of Wilson and hamlet of Olcott. Three Niagara County Wine Trail winery sponsored refreshment stops are found along the route. A couple moderate hills and very few turns and stops make the route a great Saturday morning ride for more experienced riders.

15 mile route: Running between Newfane and Olcott, the 15 mile route is simple in form but full of fun. With views of 18 Mile Creek and Lake Ontario, as well as local attractions like the historic Van Horn Mansion and tours through quaint downtown Burt, Olcott and Newfane, the route has plenty to entertain riders. This course is mapped for casual riders looking for a longer-ride.
